The AMGEN MBR system was designed to run at > 18,000 mg/l MLSS and feed RO membranes as part of a zero discharge process.
DESCRIPTION
This Enviroquip MBR System was designed to meet stringent Puerto Rican discharge standards and is an integral part of a "0" discharge process. Targeting an SDI < 2, MBR permeate is fed to an RO system before being reused onsite. The plant was designed to run at >18,000 mg/l MLSS in order to accommodate high loading in a small footprint. Enviroquip TransMax (medium bubble) diffusers supply supplemental oxygen both in the pre‐ aeration and digestion/sludge holding process zones.
