PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Commissioned May, 2010
- Domestic WW, SBR Retrofit
- Permit(s); Discharge
- 10/1/0.2 (TN/TP/Turbidity)
- Municipal => Stilliguamish River, Puget Sound
- MMF Capacity: 2.67 MGD
- $11.09/gal
- 3.5 FTE (Full-Time Employees)

During the selection phase of the process, we studied alternatives, but the Ovivo MBR System offered the best overall value.
DESCRIPTION
Following a pre-selection (and pre-purchase) process, an Ovivo MBR System was selected to upgrade/expand an old SBR system. The existing SBRs were converted into process basins and new MBR basins were constructed. The existing plant remained in service throughout the 22 month construction. The plant is designed for 4 mgd MMF, but only 2.67 mgd of membrane capacity was installed initially. The project was funded through a variety of sources including ARRA (Green Project Reserve) and SRF loans.Energy efficient design features allowed recycled and used onsite. In the future, treated effluent will be reused for irrigation and maintenance purposes.
