The project will build a safe, efficient and environmentally friendly sewer system for the Belfair Urban Growth Area (UGA) and is seen as a pivotal element vital to the health of Hood Canal.
DESCRIPTION
The Belfair WWTP is a new MBR plant designed to help protect Hood Canal and treat wastewater to achieve water quality results equivalent to Class A reuse, as well as support the backbone for urban infrastructure and growth in Belfair on a long‐term basis. The first phase of the project has a treatment daily average capacity of 0.5 MGD and a second phase will increase this capacity to 1.4 MGD with a peak of 2.8 MGD.
