PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Plans are now being made to have Ovivo upgrade the plant using Aerostrip (FB) diffusers, updated logic and innovative control strategies.
DESCRIPTION
Selecting an Ovivo MBR System allowed the municipal utility district (MUD) to phase in capacity overtime based on actual demand (lots sold). The plant was designed to handle high peak flows (using offline equalization) and to routinely operate in a gravity filtration mode. Plant effluent is reused as landscape irrigation water for the same subdivisions serviced by the system. Moreover, wasted biosolids are processed onsite using a PAD‐ K system (aerobic digestion with membrane thickening). The integral PAD‐K process significantly reduces solids management costs, requires no polymer and is easy to maintain. Plans are now being made to have Ovivo upgrade the plant using Aerostrip (FB) diffusers, updated logic and innovative control strategies.
