PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

DESCRIPTION
The Deltona WRF is currently under construction. The reclamation facility is designed to support and service sewer flows for growth along the SR 415 corridor and development on Deltona’s east side, and provide additional treatment capacity to the City. In 2007, Baskerville‐Donovan completed the evaluation of hollow fiber membrane technology versus flat plate membrane technology. Based on a robust design, process flexibility, and operational simplicity, Ovivo’s membrane technology won the pre‐selection process in 2009. The Deltona WRF consist of a five‐stage treatment process for the removal of nutrients and organic pollutants, and it is designed to meet the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) mandated Advanced Wastewater Treatment (AWT) nutrient removal requirements consisting of TN<3 mg/L and TP<1 mg/L.
