Samples have always been taken after the MBR to show the State that disinfection is not needed. The plant has never busted permit.

DESCRIPTION

The private developer originally selected SBR technology for the new Water Reclamation Facility, but after a tour of several flat plate systems, changed his mind. This developer already owned a hollow fiber system, but wanted a plant that was easier to operate and had a lower cost of ownership. The Ovivo MBR system operates between 20,000 and 30,000 mg/L MLSS to reduce sludge hauling and postpone the need for a centrifuge. The plant only has an anoxic zone and MBR basins because the membrane air scour provides enough air for the process. The effluent feeds back through a purple pipe system to allow the homeowners in the golf course community to water their grass without using potable water. The effluent is also sent to a pond to be used to irrigate the premier golf course.
