DESCRIPTION
The Enviroquip MBR wastewater system, located in Plantation Key, Florida, needed to supply centralized wastewater service to accommodate the growing population of this community. In addition, the facility’s design needed to meet the future needs of the Plantation Key Colony/North Plantation Key service area and comply with the regulatory requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The new wastewater treatment facility provides a treatment capacity of 0.355 MGD on a max month average daily flow basis. The overall wastewater treatment process employs a packaged membrane bioreactor for the treatment process and injection wells for effluent disposal.
