“I am absolutely pleased that we can serve the people of Los Lunas with a state‐of‐the‐art facility. I don’t want to put anything in that river that would contaminate it.” Robert Vialpando, Mayor of the Village of Los Lunas.
DESCRIPTION
The Los Lunas, New Mexico MBR is a new construction designed to take over for the existing extended aeration plant. The first phase of the project has a treatment daily average capacity of 0.9 MGD and a second phase membrane upgrade will double this capacity to 1.8 MGD with a peak of 3.6 MGD. This upgrade will be performed with the plant operational, meeting effluent quality requirements and without increasing the plant footprint.
