Facility receives high strength commercial wastewater with influent BOD values averaging 750 mg/l.
DESCRIPTION
Lumpkin County is a public‐private partnership to provide wastewater treatment for this rural area. This facility is designed to receive 100% commercial wastewater with an average BOD of 750 mg/l and TSS of 350 mg/l. MBR technology was selected based on its ability to treat high strength wastewater with variable load conditions and consistently produce very high quality reuse water. The MBR system is a package plant facility, with both membranes and biological process housed within steel tanks provided by Ovivo.
