Mount Saint Mary’s University chose best available MBR technology to achieve ENR quality effluent water.
DESCRIPTION
Mount Saint Mary’s university is a prestigious, private university established in 1808 in Emmitsburg, MD. It enrolls upwards of 2200 students. ARRO evaluated multiple technologies to determine the best available option for the university. MBR process was selected over other technologies and since the university had a limited budget, the equipment was procured directly by the university from Ovivo. The two existing concentric tanks with clarifiers, aeration tanks were retrofitted with MBR basin in the center tank and the process basins such as pre-anoxic, pre-aeration and post-anoxic basins retrofitted in the outside tank.
