This state-of-the-art green facility is designed to treat wastewater per specific quality standards so that it can be safely returned to the environment and reused in the community.
DESCRIPTION
The Town of Davie upgraded its utility systems to allow for anticipated increase in demand for both potable water and wastewater treatment capacity, and to meet tighter regulatory requirements. Due to the small footprint constraint, and the proximity to golf courses and educational institutions, Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology was selected for the water reclamation facility. Currently, the reuse water is being utilized by Nova Southeastern University and Grande Oaks Golf Club and Country Club for toilet flushing, landscape and golf course irrigation . The reuse waster will also be utilized for industrial purposes, such as chiller plant make up water
