PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Commissioned January, 2009 Domestic WW, MBR Retrofit Permit(s); Reuse NA/NA/2   (TN/TP/Turbidity) Resort  Irrigation MMF Capacity: 0.06 MGD 1 FTE (Full‐Time Employees)
Ovivo MBR augments failing hollow fiber system.

DESCRIPTION

In January 2009, a 60,000 gallon per day membrane unit was installed and is operated in conjunction with an existing GE/Zenon facility.  The new unit was needed to quickly and cost effectively add capacity to the undersized hollow fiber system.   This allowed the Westin resort to defer the planned future expansion of the facility and simplified operations by reducing the wastewater load to the existing hollow fiber system.    Anoxic, aerobic, and membranes are utilized as unit processes to produce tertiary quality effluent for reuse on site.
